Hi my name is Jessica and this handsome husband of mine is Caleb. Days in goodness is a blog intended to share little snippets of our adventures in this journey we call LIFE. Caleb is studying to be the next big physicist (you think I'm kidding, but no I'm not). I am studying to be the next big homemaker. The word "homemaker" is one of those poor words that people hear, but they do not truly comprehend or appreciate (unless you are one of us). To make a home entails, well, just that. EVERYTHING that goes into making a home can range from menial cleaning duties to interior decorating to financial management. To be a homemaker is a completely separate category of career. And those who are homemakers know what I mean. The variety of skills needed for homemaking are endless. That is why I'm studying ...experimenting ...practicing ...living to be a homemaker. And I've come to a point in my life where I can say that I LOVE IT. I love to learn and try new things. My problem is that I like to try everything, but become an expert in nothing. I hope to change that someday. "The expert in anything was once a beginner." That simple quote inspires me deeply.  

Caleb is my better half...the peanut butter to my jelly...the cream cheese to my bagel...the grilled cheese to my tomato soup! He is the most perfect person for me. Caleb has a brilliant mind and a tender heart. You'd think that between the two of us, me being the Nutritional Science major, that I would be the health nut. Nope. Caleb naturally likes healthy foods and stays away from anything he thinks is bad for him. Needless to say, he keeps me in line and unknowingly has changed my whole grocery shopping experience. In his spare time (or when he doesn't want to do school stuff), he loves to read and play strategy games. He is a chemist cook, meaning he likes to do cooking experiments in the kitchen, and miraculously comes out with some envious dishes that unfortunately cannot be recreated. (There are others though, that we don't want to recreate.) He is also an amazing poet and artist, both talents of which I've been on the receiving end. I admire him for his saintlike qualities and romantic heart. He had me smitten from day one.
