Amy Mei

One of my closest friends in college, Jenny, had her second child two days ago, August 28th. They named her Amy. And her middle name is Mei. Isn't that beautiful? I really like that name. That day Jenny texted me and said I could visit her in the hospital if I wanted to. Of course that's a no brainer. I went that evening. 

When I arrived, Amy was sound asleep. I got to hold her for a little bit. There's something very special about holding a newborn. It was a great experience. Caleb was not able to come with me, but I'm sure he will see her soon. 

Jenny is doing just fine and she will probably go home from the hospital in a day or two. Randy (Jenny's husband) has two weeks off from work. I had no idea there was such a thing as Paternity leave. I'll have to keep that in mind for the future.
